The PROBLEM: The enduring realities of maneuver warfare will force manned combat platforms and their future unmanned robotic stablemates to fight in dirty and unforgiving environments. Machines may get more complex. Optics, gunsights, range finders, and sensors may get more numerous. However, the reality of fighting in the mud and the messy nature of war has not changed. Bottomline: combat vehicles get dirty.
CLR is a new firm, committed to solving the problem of continuous, unimpaired vision for military robotic platforms, as well as manned platforms equipped with remote or semi-autonomous weapons (RWS), sensors, LIDAR, or sights. Our LCS system offers a modular approach to assuring continuous Electro-Optic (EO) sensor availability across the full range of military operating environments. The LCS is designed for low Space, Weight, and Power (SWAP) applications, and can provide on-demand cleaning for a variety of lens sizes, shapes, materials and coatings.
Where We are Going: We are moving rapidly in development of the LCS, currently work- ing advanced 3D models and refining our material selection against MILSPEC requirements. We are seeking appropriate partnerships for integration opportunities onto robotic platforms, as well as developmental funding for physical prototyping.
